Stanford Seed Transformation Program - East Africa


The Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (Seed) seeks innovative and growth-oriented leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in East Africa. Seed's highly interactive six-month Transformation Program challenges SME leaders to assess their vision, redefine their strategies, and make ambitious changes toward exponential growth. The Stanford Seed Transformation Program addresses the needs of founders/senior leaders in developing economies who lead growing, small to medium sized enterprises. The first cohort of SME leaders will begin the 6-month program in May 2016.

YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa- Cohort 6, Nairobi, Kenya (Fully Funded)

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was launched by President of the United States Barack Obama as a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders. YALI promotes three models designed to identify and empower young leaders: the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship, YALI Network, and now the establishment of Regional Leadership Centers across Africa.
The YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa, located at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya will serve 14 countries in East and Central Africa: Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Center is overseen by Deloitte East Africa and is supported by a growing number of African and international partners.
