Participation Fee: CHF 205 (includes lunches and cultural events)

Delegates / delegations:
GIMUN accepts individual delegates, but not delegations. We strongly encourage students from the same university to apply for the conference individually. GIMUN has no quotas and may accept several students from the same institution, but they must apply as individual delegates on our website.

Teachers / Managers:
Faculty and academic leaders who wish to accompany their students must meet the following conditions:
- Groups must consist of at least seven students, each application must have been accepted by GIMUN (GIMUN does not accept delegations at the Annual Conference);
- The names of the students and the committees they are assigned must be shown;
- There can be more than one teacher / manager accompanying group.
If these conditions are met, teachers / leaders must :
– Send their applications directly to sg@gimun.org;
– Provide a certificate from the university concerned;
– Pay the participation fee (205 CHF).

Observers:
GIMUN does not accept observers during the Annual Conference.

Recruiting Information:
Please read all relevant information before applying. Our recruitment works with a rotation system. Positions are assigned progressively. This means that as soon as all seats are taken, recruitment is completed. Therefore, by sending your application early, you increase your chances!

Getting inside the United Nations Office:
– In order to be allowed to enter the UN building, you need to have a passport from a UN member state. You can find a list of UN member states here: http://www.un.org/en/members/index.shtml. We regret that, shouldn’t it be the case, you will not be able to attend our event.
– The United Nations reserves the right to manage permissions for access to its buildings: paying the GIMUN participation fee does not guarantee access to the United Nations.
– Permissions and public UN conferences are free (participation fees only cover additional logistics and events costs).

Financial Aid:
GIMUN offers financial aid to students who are not able to participate to the Annual Conference otherwise. People interested can ask for financial aid to cover their participation fees, transportation fees, accommodation and/or food expenses. Please note that all financial aid will be provided through reimbursements (no money will be sent in advance) and that the number of beneficiaries is limited for budget reasons.
In order to review applications, GIMUN requires a letter of motivation detailing the requested type of aid (maximum 500 words following the guidelines), as well as 3 documented declined financial aid applications from other sources. For financial aid regarding transportation, an estimate of the cost is also required.
Applications will be open from the 1st to the 25th December 2014 (11:59 PM, Geneva time).

  1. Great post!!You know, few months ago there were couple of technology seminars at local meeting rooms. I saw such well-maintained meeting rooms for first time. If you are looking for nice and reasonable meeting room, you can try this venue.
