2015/16 Chinese Language Scholarships at JIAXING University

The Confucius Institute at the University of Dar es Salaam is delighted to announce the Scholarship opportunity to study Chinese Language at Jiaxing University, Zhejiang Province, China. Jiaxing University is a Provincial comprehensive institution of higher learning, engaged in the disciplines of Management Science, Engineering, Laws, Medicine, Economics and Educational Science. It is located in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, the centre of the golden delta area of Shanghai-Suzhou-Hangzhou. It is composed of 14 colleges, offering various disciplines to 23,000 full-time students.

 Scholarship Coverage:

The scholarship will cover all costs except the international airfare to and from China after graduation for the whole Duration of  study: One academic year (i.e. September 2015 to July 2016).  

Eligibility: The applicant must have the following qualifications:

• Tanzanian citizen (excluding holders of Green Card or Permanent Residence Card);

•  Above the age of 16 years and not more than 35 years of age by September 2015;

•  Healthy and able to travel internationally;

•  Interested in Chinese language and culture;

•  Knowledge of Chinese language at basic level is an added advantage;

•  Be willing to do part-time job to compensate for the living allowance at Jiaxing University;

•  Be ready to pay for international air ticket and visa.
